Explosive Device Found Outside British Mosque

British police on Sunday said that a suspicious item found outside a mosque in central England, which led to 150 local residents being evacuated, was a small home-made explosive device. West Midlands Police confirmed that a loud noise reported by residents near the Aisha Mosque in Walsall on Friday "appeared to be consistent" with the object exploding. Police said they were treating the incident as a hate crime after a member of the public discovered the object on Saturday. [...]


Yep, another attack on a mosque... and this time it was a bomb.


Of course, it didn't take long for some English Defence League Supporters to publicly rejoice about it on Facebook (will they ever learn?)... You can find their outrageous comments here, in this latest post from TellMaMaUK.org.

Update!
After we published this post, we got in touch on Twitter with   and asked if they would not mind giving us a statement and they kindly agreed to provide us one... here it is:
"After Woolwich, we were aware of the number of anti-Muslim incidents was steeply rising and that the spike was high. We were also aware that mosques were potential visible targets and our data was showing that. The explosive device outside the mosque is a turn for the worst and this is deeply worrying."
