5 Movie and T.V. Families You Don't Want to Be In

Going home for winter break can be exciting and also exhausting. Although you are probably really happy to see your family, after just a few days, you can already get sick of them. I love my family and I look forward to the days that I can go home and see them all again. However, after a few days, I am already ready to go back to school and see my friends. I think a lot of people feel this way. During the holiday season, we are supposed to be extra thankful for the family that we have. In order to help you out with that, here is a list of families that you don't want to be in. Ever. After reading this, you will be more grateful for your own family then you have ever been before.

The Bluths-Arrested Development
Besides the fact that this family is highly dysfunctional, they are all absolutely crazy. The only normal one is Michael and even he has his moments. One of the characters is an aspiring magician who sinks the family yacht and has a puppet named Franklin. Another character always claims that, “there is always money in the banana stand” and has been selling illegal properties in Afghanistan. I don't know about you, but The Bluths have too much weirdness in their family for me.

The Cullens-Twilight
I guess they are just a normal family, if you exclude the fact that they are hundred-year old sparkly vegetarian vampires. I'm not sure I would quite fit in with this family. I would never pick a fight with any of them, knowing that they can suck all of the blood out of my body in a heartbeat. Oh, did I mention that they don't have heartbeats?

The Griffins-Family Guy
I have to say this is one of the funniest cartoons on TV today. The Griffins are a family to love but not a family to want to be in. They have a talking dog, which would actually be kind of fun, except he drinks a lot and is kind of a jerk sometimes. The baby, Stewie, talks with an English accent and their daughter Meg is known as the child that no one really wants. Although it's funny, in real life, Peter would be a horrible father which makes me glad he isn't my father.

The Malfoys-Harry Potter
The first reason I would never want to be in this family is because of what a snitch Draco is. If we ever got in a fight he would run and tell his father. And of course, Lucius always takes his side. I also would be nervous as to what color my hair would be. This family is so unnaturally blonde, that it is really creepy. Being in this family would also mean I would be in Slytherin at Hogwarts and that just wouldn't fly with me.

The Camdens-Seventh Heaven
At first, you may think you wouldn't mind too much being in this family. But after a few episodes of watching them learn some important life lesson, it gets a little bit old. I think the family is a bit too perfect looking for me, which makes me very hesitant to ever want to join it.

As you go home and spend time with your family over winter break, just remember that you are a lot luckier than some of the characters in these shows. They are seriously dysfunctional and a little bit wacky. Appreciate your family and all that they are because your family is what makes you who you are.
