6 Ways Driving Could Help you Survive a Zombie Outbreak
Alright, so the chances of a zombie outbreak in your neighborhood are probably rather low. But if it does happen, you might be glad that you have your car. In the event of zombie outbreak all hell will be set loose. And here's how driving can help.
1. You Can Drive Away
Okay, this is rather an obvious one, but that doesn't make it any less true. If the zombies start coming for you you can hop in your car and drive away. Where you drive to is up to you, but traditionally you should drive to a cabin up in the mountains. Or you could try and find a walled city or town that is defending itself. Either way, you should jump in and drive fast. Oh, and don't forget to stock up on cans of petrol, you don't want to deal with the zombie petrol station attendant.
2. Your Car is a Fortress
In pretty much every zombie movie the guys inside cars are safe. For some reason zombies have not yet figured out how to break glass. As long as this situation continues, you're safe inside your car. Don't forget to put plenty of food and water inside though, or you're just going to starve to death inside your fortress, which will probably be slower and more painful than death by zombie.
3. Your Car is a Weapon
Zombies are notoriously difficult to kill. Mostly because they're dead already, and how do you kill something that can't die? However, one foolproof way to kill a zombie is to destroy it. And what better way to do this than with a car? If you can run over its skull, you should be all good. Plus, if you don't get it the first time, you can always back up and have another go. Cars are ideal weapons for defeating zombies.
4. You Can Be a Hero
Alright, you might not necessarily want to be a hero, but at some point you might have to suck it up and take one for the team. The problem with a zombie outbreak is that sooner or later you're going to want it to end. It can't last forever. Your car could be part of a cunning plan to entrap all the zombies, and just by driving you can save the world. Something along the lines of baiting the zombies (with brains?) and luring them into following your car so that they all fall into a deep hole, or become trapped in a safe enclosure might work. We're not sure on the details yet, but we know that you driving the car is invaluable.
5. You Have a Home
This should not be underestimated. In the long battle to free the world from zombies, having a place to sleep and keep your Xbox should not be under rated. It's still unclear how zombies are perfectly able to break into houses and eat your brains, and yet have not figured out that cars are way easier to get into, but that matters little. The fact is that your car will become you home away from home, and the one safe place you can go without getting your brain devoured.
6. You'll Be More Competitive
It may sound harsh, but the truth is when it comes to a zombie outbreak, it's every man for himself. With your car you'll be able to reach dwindling supplies and resources faster than those on foot. This could mean the difference between survival and death. Your ability to feed yourself and your family may depend on your car.
