It's with great pleasure that we hosting a book tour for another novel by Kenneth. Not only because this is a Sci-Fi one, but also because last time we hosted one of his book tours, we had a very good (and fun) time. For those of you who don't remember, or missed it, here is the link to the previous one: 'The Jeweler' by Ken Murray. ('The Jeweler' is' the story of Cole Hanson, an assassin for the CIA who learned the jewelry trade when he was younger...)
In today's post, we have bits of info about the book and its author as well as a guest post specially written for us by Kenneth S. Murray (the answer to a question I asked him a while ago which was "what made you write a Sci-Fi novel?") and a Giveaway. How's that for starting the week in a big way?
Enjoy!

About The Second Creation
The Second Creation weaves together two stories; a life ending comet strike on earth, and inter-galactic war within the Realm of the Galaxies.
Research by Sandia National Laboratories Comet Impact Simulations brings incredible reality, and biosphere life begins a new human story.
Dunge Katorsay, an Apostle of the Anti-Christ, leads his forces from the Draco Constellation to defeat the realm and become its chairman.
Brian Hudson and Charlotte Tennyson are introduced as earth embryos. Both are born years later on another planet.
Charlotte is captured by Draco forces; her memory copied into her physical clone, who returns to Brian to spy on the realm. Charlotte's bisexual tendencies were revealed, and she is kept by Dr. Sorsin, the lesbian bio-engineering genius.
The ending above the earth, as their forces collide, is a horrific battle between the Anti-Christ and the second coming of a God child.

It'll take you back to July, 1994 when 21 pieces of that comet, torn apart by Jupiter's gravity finally slams, one piece after another, into the planet, Jupiter. Hubble space telescope caught it on tape and it was big television news to watch.
As I watched that happen, I thought; "suppose the last piece of the comet is pushed away by the prior explosions and is not noticed, since Jupiter is surrounded by huge, thick clouds of stuff and that last comet piece changes trajectory and comes at earth."
I knew I had a science fiction novel to write partly based on fact; always a good combination for the reader as it makes the story believable. Guess what? Our government was also thinking about that possibility. I had written part of the story that I entitled, The Second Creation, then put it aside to write, The Final Plan, a post WWII Nazi international thriller.
When I went back to the sci-fi book, I found some incredible research done by Sandia Corporation using state of the art computerization. They analyzed how big that final comet piece was, knew how fast it was traveling, what it was made of, and the force with which it would strike our planet. They simulated the comet to plunge into the ocean off the coast of Long Island. Then they tell you how many cubic miles of sea water and ocean bottom sediment is blown up into the atmosphere; the size of the tsumanis and how far inland they travel, how long the sun is blocked, and more. It's triple scary stuff. Basically, we are all outta' here; it's a world wide, adios baby, and just like the end of the dinosaurs.
I changed the comet to strike at the western edge of the Antarctic ice shelf in the Ross Sea. I created even more havoc since that area has the largest concentration of volcanoes that run north into what volcanologists call the Pacific rim of fire. From the book title, The Second Creation, you know I saved some people. And the hero and heroine are introduced as frozen earth embryos; born later in time on another planet.
They're involved in the Realm of the Galaxies; where the apostle of the Anti-Christ battles to take over the Realm, and the climax occurs above re-born earth when the devil's apostle is confronted by the second coming of a God child.
Again I put the book aside, and wrote two more novels on different subjects and now, almost twenty years after I started the story, its available at e-Book sites.
So I may have set a record for the longest time it took to an author to write a book. But when it comes to writing, it’s all about the journey, and I have loved every step of the way.

That's a very insightful question, which will illuminate my writing history. Google the Shoemaker-Levy comet.
