What Can Be Done In Less Than A Month? #BringBackOurGirls

The following is an email we received from aworldatschool.org yesterday... I'm definitely very happy to share it on here as it does prove that there is more to #BringBackOurGirls than just being a trending hashtag. It's also about the right for kids everywhere to get an education without risking their lives.

Anyway, read the email... It'll show you what I mean far better than I would do myself.

Stay safe!

The Email:
Dear Friend,
One month ago more than 270 girls were abducted at gunpoint from school in Chibok, northeast Nigeria.
The world has spoken up in outrage against this attack on education: we must now keep up the pressure to ensure safe schools for every child - in Nigeria and around the world.
In one month’s time, on June 16, there will be a global mobilisation on the Day of the African Child in support of the Chibok girls of northern Nigeria, and in support of safe schools for girls and boys everywhere.
You can be part of this moment: help us reach the goal of events in over 100 countries and keep the attention on Nigeria and the cause of safe education around the world.
>> Join the movement: host or attend an event. <<
Day of the African Child is observed on 16 June each year in memory of students who were massacred in Soweto in 1976 for protesting against education injustice and inequality in apartheid South Africa.
The African Union designated the day in 1991 and every year events are organised around the continent to promote children’s rights.  We continue this campaign, as necessary now as it was then, in solidarity with those who risk their safety just to go to school.
Take action in solidarity with us:  we have the tools and resources to organise an event in your school, faith community, neighbourhood or town.
